Are you the type of person that likes to learn new things every day? Well, you're in the right industry! One of the most important aspects of the digital marketing world is staying as up-to-date as possible. I've noticed recently that when I am speaking with other marketing professionals, I am almost always asked how I stay ahead of the game with all of the emerging trends that seem to never stop. Luckily for us, we have an abundance of information readily available for anyone seeking to learn. To save you some time from scouring the web into what seems to be an endless black hole of information, I have compiled a short list of resources I use that can be helpful.

1.) Marketing Land / Search Engine Land

If you somehow have not found yourself on any of these two sites at some point, you're not looking hard enough! The latest and most popular topics in the industry can always to found here the second it is made public. They are like the Yahoo of Digital Marketing. Check them out here.

2.) LinkedIn Groups

LinkedIn is a great way to find social contributors in the industry that live and breathe marketing. Not only do they provide valuable resources for you to reference, but also insights on what their opinion is on the discussion. Find someone that you believe you can learn from, and ask them to connect. This will open up opportunities for you to share your experiences and get feedback. There are a ton of groups out there, but I can recommend asking to join Digital Marketing.

3.) Hubspot Blog

This blog is extremely resourceful and will always have something current to talk about. Geared towards inbound marketing, you will find a ton of information on not only the solutions their software can provide, but also ideas on how strategies can be implemented from every phase. Subscribe here.

4.) Twitter

Follow everyone relevant to you! This is an easy way to sift through topics that you may or may not be interested in at the time. They only have 140 characters to grab your attention, so no time will be wasted reading an article or blog post that ends up not answering your question. This is also the perfect platform for you to voice your opinion on topics being tweeted. Not sure on who to follow? Get on the discover page and search any topic of interest, and you'll be surprised how many people are talking about that same thing! Get social.

5.) Webinars

These are becoming a fairly common way to communicate information, and a very efficient way to learn, as you can do it without leaving the office. They also give you the opportunity to hear from industry experts in real-time discussing valuable information. Most of them also offer a Q&A so you can get the most out of the experience, and be a part of the conversation. One reputable source of webinars is Content Marketing Institute.
